I was born and raised in Buckinghamshire in the UK.

I wrote stories from an early age but I really consider my writing career started when I was about 23. I wrote a radio play and sent it to the BBC, at the time believing it was the greatest drama in that meduim since the days of Giles Cooper.  However, such adolescent dreams were soon crushed by the inevitable rejection letter that came through the letterbox a month or so later.  Ironically, many years later, a stage version of that same play was performed at a local arts centre - the first professional staging of one of my plays.

In the mid 1990s I wrote plays for the Bush and Hampstead Theatres, but ultimately discouraged by the endless stream of rejected responses I turned away from playwriting for nearly twenty years.

My "second literary dawn" was precipiated in the most inauspicious circumstances.  On Good Friday 2004, whilst attempting to cut a privet hedge at my Buckinghamshire home, I slipped and fell onto a concrete path, damaging the base of my spine and confining me to bed for more than 6 months. It was during that enforced rest that I wrote a detective novel called "Beyond the Call" about a detective who had suffered a similar accident to myself but managed to overcome his pain to solve the case of his missing brother-in-law. Having regained the desire to write I started writing erotica for Literotica, and amazed by the number of hits my stories received I subsequently wrote for a number of other websites.  In December 2011 I won the Avery Short Story competition at my first attempt and this year one of my stories - "The Miracle" - was published in the literary periodical Eclat Fiction.

Recently I have concentrated on screenwriting, penning two film shorts, "Breaking Point" and "Long Distance", both currently awaiting production.  My short story Acts of Remembrance is now available on Kindle:
