Homosexuality is an example of the absence of moral authority in our world today. God clearly tells us it is wrong. The world treats it like a natural feeling that is different but has now become widely accepted. It is a sin that society has endorsed and churches have started to accept. If we do not fix this gay situation in our country, you better get your umbrella and prepare for the fire and brimstone.God as a soul authority over all. Because it is a sin that causes no inconvenience to others, the world writes it off as an acceptable thing to do. However, if one is guided by the Bible, it becomes clear that homosexuality is morally wrong and should not be practiced. References to homosexuality appear many times in the Bible and every time it is mentioned as a sin. As one reads about this sin, a pattern emerges. Every society in the Bible that accepts and practices homosexuality falls shortly after. These places like Sodom, were punished with fire and brimstone. The increasingly tolerant world today makes one ask the question, "Are we headed for the same fate?"

Homosexuality is a sin. This is clearly stated in Leviticus 18:22, "Do not practice homosexuality; it is a detestable sin." Reading this verse should end any argument one has in favor of homosexuality. The problem is that the world today holds different standards than the Bible. People today consider something wrong if it hurts someone else. The definition of wrong should be anything against God's will. These are two different standards and they create a gray area that is right in man's eyes but wrong in God's.

The problem is not just in the secular world. The church itself has become numb to this detestable sin. Recently, the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America voted to allow gays in committed relationships to serve as clergy. Many denominations are not even teaching against it for fear of causing fission in the church. It is discouraging to see a large group of Christians ignoring parts of the written Word of God to avoid conflict.

Some people argue that homosexuality is not anything they can control. They believe the emotions are natural and that is just the way they are. This statement has no truth. God created all people straight as an arrow. Being gay is a decision that people make that is unnatural and not what God had planned for mankind.

Times have changed since the Bible was written. People say that because of the world we live in is so different; being gay is not that bad. During Bible times, homosexual acts were punished with a good stoning. Murder and theft are still punished. Why shouldn't homosexuality still be?

Homosexuality is an example of the absence of moral authority in our world today. God clearly tells us it is wrong. The world treats it like a natural feeling that is different but has now become widely accepted. It is a sin that society has endorsed and churches have started to accept. If we do not fix this gay situation in our country, you better get your umbrella and prepare for the fire and brimstone.
