It has been about one month that we have been living in Rome and it's been mostly exploring except for my mom cause she's been busy with making schools and better housing. I know she sound like a saint but she's only doing it to get her mind of things…like Valerie.

Marsha and I have been talking and I've been sending her pictures of Rome and she comments and tells me places she wishes she could visit so what do I do I go to that place and take pictures. It really was a beautiful place, the only problem is that I have no friends; well at least I didn't until today.

I was just buying some ice cream because I was literally dying of thirst yet I was also dying of hunger so the most natural thing I did was buy a ice cream. I was just eating it when out of nowhere a soccer ball hit me in my face making me drop my ice cream. I stayed still for a while trying to calm my temper so that I wouldn't hurt anyone.

"Hey um, I'm so sorry I didn't mean to hit you." I heard a vice say behind me and I turned around to find a boy there about six years old with green eyes and black hair. I stood there trying to remember where I've seen his eyes before because they also held a bit of blue but I couldn't. I watched as he got his ball and stared at me a bit afraid.

"It's okay, what's your name?"

"Oh nice name, you have a nickname?"

"Yea Al."

"Cool I'm Timothy but people call me Tim."

"Nice, I should go now." The boy said but he looked like he wanted to stay too.

"Oh how come."

"I don't know my mom said I can't talk to strangers."

"But you know my name don't you?"

"So that means we aren't strangers anymore."

"Oh okay." The boy said trying to think about what I had just said.

"So Al how is it that you know English so well?"

"My mom taught me."

"Oh and who taught her?"

"She's from America." The boy said as we began to walk not realizing it though.

"Are you American too?"

"No I was born in Afghanistan."

"Oh, you don't look like you are from there?"

"Well I am but the man who made me and mom were both American."

"Oh what were they doing there?"

"My mom was just there, I don't know what for but my "dad" was a soldier, a crazy one and he took advantage of my mom."

"Oh, I'm sorry."

"Don't be, my mom says I should never feel bad because I was brought into this world and she loves me very much."

"And what happened to your dad?"

"Oh he's not my dad just the man who made me, but he was murdered."

"Really, how did he die, I bet he was shot in the field."

"No actually he was killed by my mom."

"Yea, my mom was not happy."

"I bet, and how come she didn't just leave immediately?"

"I don't know I think because they wouldn't let her until she gave birth to me."

"Yea, so how about you?"

"Oh um I have two moms, but live with one only and we travel a lot."

"I wish I could travel."yi

"Not me, you could take my place anytime."

"Maybe someday."

"So how long have you lived here?"

"I just moved here." I said as we sat down on a bench.

"Oh nice."

"Yup and you?"

"We moved here when I was two."

"So you live alone with your mom?"

"Yea." Al said.

"Yup, but my mom likes girls too."

"Oh cool maybe she should met my mom."

"I don't know my mom loves a girl from America."

"Oh, why did she leave her?"

"Because she had many other people loving her and she couldn't love all so she ran away."

"Oh, I had a friend like that."

"You date girls already?"

"No I just meant that I knew a girl who did that, my mom and my friend's mom loved this girl but she ran away."

"Oh I'm sorry."

"Don't be."

"Oh, I have to go home, my mom is making chicken a la king, would you like to meet my mom?"

"Sure." I said looking at my clock noticing that I had time and that I was still hungry and thirsty. We went to his house and noticed that it wasn't that far from ours. When we got to the door, Al stopped and looked at me.

"So my mom can be crazy at times with people so if you run from my home I understand."

"Don't worry I wont run."

"Okay if you say so." Al said as he opened the door. When we walked in I could hear someone singing to some Italian music I think it was by Laura Pausini and I saw someone moving but they had their back to me and their head was blocked by some cabinets.

Al motioned for me to stay there and he went to the kitchen. I wish he had made the woman turn but he went to her front and I could see that he hugged her and she bent down to kiss him on the forehead. Al looked over at me and blushed but he began to talk to his mom and she wiped her hands and followed him towards me. He was basically pulling her and both were laughing. I still couldn't see her face but when I did, I stumbled back and looked at Valerie looking at me with a shocked expression which I'm sure matched mine. Then I… well I did the thing I said I wouldn't do…I ran.
