SMASH!
Footsteps stomped down the stairs. A tall young man with wild dark hair comes running into the kitchen.
“What the fuck are you doing Sebastian?” He cried.
Derek always used Seb’s full name when he was mad. It pissed Seb off.“You know what? I…I think you should (hiccup) just shut (hiccup) up.” He spluttered out.
“You’re drunk again.” Derek stated, it was not a question. Seb slumped to the floor dangerously close to the smashed bottle of Vodka.
“I met a guy.” He said with a huge smile on his face. Derek was not hearing a word of it as he grabbed Seb’s arm and proceeded to wrap it around his neck to support him. Seb continued unfazed about the close contact they shared.
“Hehe. He was so cute and strong. Oh, (sigh) he was so funny. Haha.” Derek was not listening at all he was too busy trying to keep Seb from touching him to much. Not because he smelled, but because he was getting hard from being this close. Yes, he was in love with Sebastian. He was inescapably in love with him. Wherever Seb went, Derek worried about him. Derek knew he would not ever be able to be with Sebastian. Not with his alcoholism.
The memory of helping Seb last week was still fresh in his mind… ~Derek was dumping all the alcohol he could find in the apartment down the sink. There was so much of it; it took him half an hour to dump. One bottle accidentally slipped out of his hand and dropped into the sink letting out a “thunk”. Seb appeared out on nowhere by his side.
“What are you doing?” He asked rubbing the sleep out of his eyes. As soon as he focused on the sink, he went wide-eyed. Sebastian pushed Derek out of the way and started picking up the empty bottles one by one. They were all empty.
“What the fuck!” Seb started to search around the kitchen for bottles that he had hidden, but Derek had found them all. He started to hyperventilate. “I need to get out of here!” Seb practically shouted. Derek reached out his arm and placed it on Seb’s shoulder.
“Calm down.” He demanded.
“No!” Seb cried out punching Derek in the face. Derek reeled back not wanting to be punched again.
“I hate you! I HATE YOU!” Sebastian screamed at Derek grabbing his stuff and running out the door. Derek legs gave out and he knelt on the cold floor. All alone, he began to sob.
“Seb please…I need you.”
Seb returned a week later in the middle of the night. Derek had felt like he could breathe again. Tears had leaked out of his eyes; he had placed his hands on his mouth in case he made a sound. He absolutely did not want Seb to hear him. He then heard the sound of bottles clinking together. Some things never change. ~
They finally made it to Seb’s bedroom. Everything was untouched Derek did not have the heart to go in it while Seb was away. Derek dropped Seb on the bed.
“You’re so strong Der…” (hiccup). Derek stood up and turned around. He could not stop the smile spreading across his face. ~Sebastian was so cute when he hiccupped~ he thought captivated. Seb silently changed into his pyjamas that consisted of sweat pants and an old tight t-shirt.
“Hey Der?”
“Yeah?”
“I’m quitting.”
