Prologue
A boy who looked to be around seventeen or eighteen with long, brown hair awoke in his bed in a cold sweat. He sat up and put his feet on the floor and looked around his room one more time before standing and starting down the hall.
He went to his back porch and down a short stair case. He followed a cement walk way to a small pond. He peered down at the fish swimming freely, without a care in the world.
He blinked and they were dead, floating in a pond of blood. The trees and bushes around him dripped blood. The once dark black sky with bright white, shining stars dotting it was turned an odd deep purple and the moon turned red, the stars were large black spots that looked to be growing as if they would consume the entire sky in a few moments.
He blinked again and it all went back to normal. “It’s another of those nights,” he said to himself before walking back inside. He picked up a knife from the kitchen and went back to his room.
His current girlfriend was laying in his bed, still asleep. She woke up when she heard the door slam closed, “S-Samuel…?” She asked, frightened and scared, sitting up, hold the blanket to her chest.
“You know way too much.” Samuel said, a smirk cracking his face as he walked closer and held the young girl down on the bed, the blade barely gracing over her bare neck. “Good night, Melissa.” He said before slicing her throat open.
