PART 21: THE ARRIVAL
There's a loud thud in the living room and the ground of the house seems to shake a little. All of them in the dining hall were surprised at this. They quickly rush to the living room to find two uninvited rugged looking young men are standing there.
"Who the hell are you?!" Jerome asked and begins to shift to his vampire's form. His short hair grew longer to a braid. The braid lifts up to the sky and the end of it curves forward like that of a stinger of a scorpion. His eyes turn to vertical split and fangs coming out from his upper lips.
"Whoa.. No need to get violent," one of them said. He had dark brown hair and grey eyes. The other one had silver hair and a mixture of colors in his eyes. "We're here to help," The dark brown hair boy said again, smiling innocently this time.
"It's true," Dasmond said to Jerome. "They're here to help." He had listen to their thoughts and found no indications of threat.
Jerome believes Dasmond and switches back to his human's form. Nicolaus who did not appear to be shocked at all walks quietly and indifferently towards the two men and sits on the sofa next to them. His face shows no emotion. Everyone seems to wonder why he did so. Then Dasmond chuckles.
"You have a very interesting lover, Jerome," Dasmond said. "He feels tired of standing that's why he went there and sit. How candid," Dasmond explained and commented.
Jerome sighs. "I wish I can read his mind sometimes," Jerome complaint. "Well then, everyone please have a seat," Jerome said. They all then sit down on the sofas in the living room. "What matters do you have here and how did you get in here?" Jerome asked the two strangers.
The white-hair boy seems to not bother to answer. He had an expression on his face like he's bored being here and he wanted so much to get out. The brown-hair boy on the other hand, seems interested to be here. He then answers; "Well, my companion here is a teleporter. That's how we get in here," he explained. "My name is Isaac Archnea and this is Heaven Sky. We're here to help you kill the devil," he simply said.
"Archnea?" Jerome, Dasmond, Alexander, and Lucas all asked in unison, surprised at the familiar name. They all look at each other after that in a bit of an embarrasment.
"Yes," the boy said, smiling innocently again. He then turns to look at Alexander. "You saved me and my sister a long time ago in Archnea. Remember?" He asked.
Alexander's eyes widen. "You're the son of Marcus Archnea?" He asked. Isaac only nodded. Yes, he did saved a couple of children during the time but he had no idea that the they are actually the children of the leader of Archnea Village, Marcus Archnea.
"My companion here is one of you guys," Isaac suddenly said. "He was turned before all of you were turned by Madam Lilith. He's the one who found me and my sister and helped us."
"Are you saying there are more creatures like us out there?" Lucas asked, feeling surprised at the knowledge.
"Yes. There are many. Some are other kinds of creatures. They are demons created by the devil to carry his evil deeds," Isaac said. "The two of us hunt them down and kill them when we find any. That's my responsibility as the Wizard of Archnea. I used a spell to make me immortal so that I could fight for that cause."
"Then why didn't you kill us?" Gabriel asked in a curious, insinuating manner.
"You guys and Heaven are not demons. Creatures like you were supposed to be cared for by the devil himself. Because you see, he lended all of you some of his powers. The abilities you have and all... The real job of a devil is to keep the balance of evil in human's heart and to care for the dark world but the current devil, Master Lucifer, had not been doing his job. He made more chaos and even killed the witches and wizards of Archnea whom the angels appointed to care for the goodness and light world. We're short-handed now. Only my sister and I are taking care of that now. So, it is understandable why the world is decaying at the moment. Global warming and crimes and such..." Isaac gave a lengthy explanation on the matter.
"Hmm..." Jerome scratches his chin. "Is that so?" He seems to care less about the decaying world and all.
"Okay, it's none of your concern. That's just me complaining. Hehe," Isaac laughs a little. "Now let's get back to business."
