The spiraled stairs seemed like they went on for years. Faint water driplets smacked against the floor almost constantly. By the time we had gotten to the bottom of the stairs, the smell of sweet, pure blood hit me like a brick wall. There must have been fifty people chained to the walls harshly. None of them were dirty. They were pure and clean. Naked. Lucifer looked down with a look of amusement.
"Don't be scared. They are very clean." He made his way over to a red velvet chair, fitted perfectly for him. I watched the sunk-in seat. A sick feeling began to turn in my stomach. How many innocents has he killed already? "What do you prefer? Young ones?" He nodded towards a boy who must have been only twelve. His face was pale like he'd seen a ghost, and his body would never stop shivering. I stared for the longest.
"Lillian, bring him over." A woman dressed in a red gown made her way over to the boy. She must have been a vampire too. Her brown hair fell flawlessly over her shoulders and her grey eyes I swear could pierce right through you.
She grabbed the boy gently by the arm, bringing him to Lucifer. Lucifers smile was calm, but all the more devious.
"Sit." He patted his lap gently. The boy stood there only for a moment to realize that Lucifer was being serious.
He sat hesitantly looking around chewing on his lip nervously. My feet were paralyzed to the ground, all I could do was stare at the blood that appeared from the bottom of his raw lip.
Lucifer craddled him into his arm, making him appear so much smaller than he was. The boy stared into Lucifers Black abyss and his sharpened teeth. You'd think he couldn't get any much paler than he was, but he did.
"What's your name." The words slid through his gritted teeth. I have never seen anyone as greedy as Lucifer.
The boy couldn't make out his words. Lucifers hunger became unpatient. He held the back of the boys head softly and sunk his teeth into his neck. I could here the skin break, the heart beat slower as he drew more and more blood from the young innocent. I watched the boys expressions. Pain, Fear. I watched the life slowly fall out of him, leaving his body a shell. A sob came from the other room.
"INCA!!!!" I looked over to see a woman chained to by only her wrists, lashing her legs all over the place. His mother. You could tell by the honey colored hair, the deep brown eyes. Lucifer had taken her long life friend away from her. He was no more. My lips felt paralysed, I didn't know what to do.
"Ahh, the young ones are the best. So innocently unspoiled." His words rasped out.
He gestured toward the grieving mother. "bite her. Make it shut up. I don't want to here that thing anymore."
I made my way over to her numbly, It seemed like she was begging me to take her life from her. If her kid Inca was no longer in this cruel world, she shouldn't be here either."
I walked to her, slowly dropping to my knees.
"Is this okay?" I watched her carefully.
Yes. Please, take my life away from me. I don't want to suffer anymore...
I don't know how it exactly happened...
I was drinking from her...
But there was more than just the taste of this womans blood. I was experiencing everything from her past. Everything..
Vampires. I felt entirely too much hatred for them. We take away precious lifes, just for our living needs. I had to accept one day that I could never get out of this, this is who I am. I am a monster.
