"Lillian!" Sang Cassandra, replacing a few words in the song she and Lily were listening to while in Cassandra's room. On the large bed, Cassandra crawled towards Lily with a smirk. Lily couldn't help but actually burst out laughing. On the bedroom floor cooler bottles and dvd cases were everywhere. The current movie playing; Dirty Dancing.

Lily leaned forwards slightly and tried to keep a straight face. "Yes Cassie?" Lily replied and burst out giggling again.

It was obvious that Cassandra was trying to hold back her laughter. Before she could get out the sentence, Cassandra rolled over onto her back looking up at Lily. "How do you call your lover-girl?"Cassie sang along with the movie.

"Come here lover-girl!"

"And if she doesn't answer?"

"Oh lover girl..."

"And if she still doesn't answer?"

"I simply say baby... Oh, baby, my sweet baby, you're the one," Lily finished with a smile. They both just stared at each other for a moment with serious expressions before bursting out into giggle fits.

Cassandra rolled over onto her stomache and rested her head in Lily's lap. "Love really is strange, but I love you. You know that right?" Cassandra said as she managed to bring her arms up over her head to wrap them around Lily's waist.

Lily ran her fingers through Cassandra's perfectly curled locks of hair. "I know, and I love you too sweetheart," Lily replied, leaning back against the headboard of Cassandra's bed. Cassandra got back up onto her hands and knees and took a moment to compose herself. The small woman leaned towars Lily, going into kiss her but it her phone decided to start ringing.

The two sighed and Cassandra grabbed her phone from her night stand. "It's my step-dad..." Cassandra said and jolted back so she was sitting with her legs crossed. Lily just stared at the phone before up at Cassandra. Tyler was a man who had married Monica when Cassandra was tweleve.

There was really no ignoring the call, or he'd come to the apartment which he had done before. "Hi! Dad!" Cassandra answered the phone as she stood up from the bed. Lily watched Cassandra's every move as she paced back and forth around the bedroom. "Oh, did she?" Cassandra said over the phone and looked at Lily with a worried expression plastered on her face.

"You... You are?" Cassandra said only to leave Lily confused. Cassandra's eyes began welling up with tears. "Yeah, of course, I'd love to... I'll see you tomorrow..." Cassandra said slowly and rubbed the side of her face with her free hand. "Oh dad!... Thank you," Cassandra said before hanging up the phone. The phone was dropped onto the bed and Cassandra turned to face Lily with a shocked expression. "He said he's proud of me for standing up to my mom... We're going out tomorrow and he wants you to come," Cassandra said with a grin.

Lily just sat there wide-eyed. "Yeah, I'll go..." Lily said also in shock. She was already nervous not having met Cassandra's dad before. Hopefully for her, he wasn't anything like Monica was and was better about the relationship.
