I Smile, She Smiles

I met this girl and I can't get the game we played out of my head so I wrote this poem.

A stranger

Smiling at me

Taking glances

As I look away

Her eyes

They're round

Dark brown

Looking into mine

I want to say "hello"

Talk to her

But I'm afraid

Of what she might say

She continues to smile

Making me smile

So at last I give in

And say hello"

She waved at me

And says "hello" too

So I smile

And she smiles

Her round eyes

They look at me

They're a bit shy

So they look away

Again I smile

A goofy smile

And look at her

As she looks down

Her eyes

They flicker

They look up

And see me smile

She smiles again

And I smile too

We play this game

Until we part ways

Yet her round eyes

And her smile

They're in my head

Still playing the game
