So this is kind of how I felt and now feel about someone special. Someone who has had a much bigger and better impact on my life than I think they'll ever realize. Though the relationship has changed I'm glad I had it.

I would like to be able to say, I do not love you today, It would be a shameful lie, In my eyes the deceit would die, I was safe in the cold and unflinching dark, Away from my heart and the black mark, You burst in and blew it open with ease, A crazy chance to be human, I had to seize, Out from my fortress made with bricks of lies, Through the cobbled lanes of memory and its cries, Into the open pastures of love and its flowered fields, Ever worried of the of the sharpened blade it wields, A saber forged from the furnaces of my darkest hate, Always prodding at my armor telling me my fate, I went along but I felt so wrong when I heard your tales, Slammed into my mind the rusted and twisted paranoid nails, Maybe I'm wrong and maybe I'm right, Who cares really at the end of life's night? So I said goodbye, not because of you, Not even really for me, if I must be true, It was to save us both from each other, Even now I'll welcome you as a brother, Thank you for everything you did.
