I wish you could feel the way my heart skips a beat when you press
in close to me at night, and the terror that shoots to my
fingertips every time you talk about leaving, because losing you is
my worst fear. I wish you could feel the butterflies that your
smile gives me, And the way my soul aches whenever those teardrops
roll down your face, because I know I cannot take away your deepest
pains. I wish you could feel the shock that your lips send through
me with every perfectly placed kiss, and the selfish shame of
wanting to be the center of your universe, because I know I'm so
un-deserving of any of your attention. I wish you could feel the
way your voice calms me even when you talk about absolutely
nothing, and the way it can cut me to the bone in a heartbeat,
because your words are the only things that can crash through these
walls I've built. I wish you could feel the electricity that dances
on my skin when your hands touch me, and the way I crave you to be
closer when you need your space, because any amount of space is too
much. I wish you could know just how deep my love for you runs. How
it courses through my veins and fills my entire being to the core.
I wish you understood that when I say "I love You, I mean so so
much more." I mean that you are my oxygen. You are my happiness.
You are my world.
