Everything's okay,
I'm laughing in the middle of the night
I was fine all day
But then I wonder if he was right
I think about how much I loved him
Think how he turned me away
It's now but my heart's still back then
Will I ever learn how this game is played?
Up above there is someone watching me
Up above someone is calling me home
He is the one that trapped me and took lead
Try to call out but only get dial tone
My yells are only murmurs
As lovers get away with murder
Because my heart is in the burner
I see a path and new way
No longer with the breaking and fight
In cold blood I don't have to pray
A true love so close in sight
Her smile, like a silver ray
Being loved is my own right
I hope to God that she'll stay
But things didn't go as I thought they might
Up there is someone watching me
Up there is someone calling me home
She has my heart and knows me to a T
I knew I'd miss the love texts on my phone
My yells are only murmurs
As lovers get away with murder
Because my heart is a sinner
His slaps and her touches
Her past and his lovers
My heart stops every time our skin brushes
The nightmares from him hide me under the covers
Scream at me and make me learn
Kicked me to the side to die
Whisper to me and make love burn
Love fails no matter how are I try
Boys and girls mock the idea of my love
I curse the ones up above.....
Up there is someone watching me
Up there someone is calling me home
They made my heart end its beat
Now I'm next to the heavenly throne
No more yelling and quiet murmurs
Lovers making love murder
Because my heart was a mere learner
