Geezer was an Olympic level ski jumper as a voung man.   Later he served in U.S. Air Force during Korean War and ran the 96th Bomb Squadron aircraft repair shop

He is a graduate of University of Georgia, receiving an undergraduate idegree in Mathematics and an MBA.   After college he started in business with Standard Oil but spent most of his 30-year career at General Electric where he held positions as a general manager for various business units.

During his business career he appreciated “…getting things done and inspiring good effort…” but was not drawn to other more political aspects of senior management.

He has been retired from corporate life almost 20 years, but remains active in philanthropic and civic organizations.   Throughout his life he was a competitive triathlete, marathon runner and skier.  He has participated in five world championship duathalons and just last year won a medal for a national ski competition.

He used his extensive travels, life experiences and interactions with people to help write this book, and has studied the decision making process and how it occurs.   He says that he’s seen “…too many who do not ask the critical questions and too many times are willing to trust others ‘direction instead of using their common sense…”, especially during his career running business operations and dealing with union/worker issues.

The core tenant of this book:   “ Never be embarrassed to ask questions and trust your common sense”

This is his first book and is intended to provoke deeper thought, discussions and inquisitiveness about the key issues that face people’s lives.
