I am an Edinburgh based author and I have just released my debut novel - The Rachel Redemption which is a fast paced thriller with a strong female character at the centre of the action. She might just be based on an internationally loved member of the British royal family who died in tragic circumstances some time ago...

I also have two collections of short stories which will be available for free: Little Tales from the Office – an interconnected series which can best be described as a soap opera written by Franz Kafka and directed by David Lynch! Also coming soon is Edinburgh Unbuttoned which is set in Scotland's historic capital and lays bare the city's hidden sensual side.

I write a regular blog under my 'Girl with the Edinburgh Tattoo' persona which tells you a bit more about where I'm coming from.

My literary inspirations are many: Ian Fleming and Italian gialli are a huge influence but look closely enough and you'll find elements of Thomas Hardy, D H Lawrence, Anthony Burgess and Daphne du Maurier – to name but a few – along with a strong cinematic-style narrative.

My philosophy is: Enjoy yourself, it's later than you think!
