How to Lose Weight
So many people want to have a goal of losing weight because they either want to or maybe absolutely need to lose it. I will be giving tips for everyone especially those who are overweight and obese. Also, many of you out there try diet plans, but it never works and I honestly have no clue why it doesn't work for many people, but one thing is that you need to be consistent with exercising as well. What I have heard is that WeightWatchers and Nutrisystem works, but there is a way of losing weight all your own without paying for anything. The only thing you would need to pay for is healthy food. Here are a few tips on how to lose weight and be healthier.
Tip #1: Cut Out ALL junk food. There are quite a few people who overweight and obese because they eat junk food like McDonald's and Burger King and other fast food restaurants either everyday or 2-3 times a week. What many people don't realize about fast food places like thos restaurants is that if they keep eating that crap everyday, they're unaware of the health risks they are capable of receiveing. People are capable of getting diabetes type 2, they could also have high cholesterol which can have an affect on their heart no matter what age group people are in.
Tip #2: Start Eating Healthier Meals. If you're the type of person that eats a lot of junk food everyday, start eating healthier food. Here's an example of a healthy meals throughout the day. Breakfast: could be Cheerios, or maybe Toasted Rice&Wheat Flakes w/Strawberries--this cereal is like the Special K Strawberry cereal, but I like the Eating Right cereal better. Maybe for Lunch could be: A Turkey Sandwich w/anything on it like lettuce and tomatoes, or maybe a Chicken Sandwich or a Salad. For Dinner: Could be maybe BBQ/Baked/Boiled Chicken, or BBQ steak with either meal could be Salad and if you kids who are picky like me, you could maybe give them some fruits or veggies that they like. These are some examples of what could be done as healthy meals. If you're craving something sweet, rather than buying full fat ice cream, buy 1/2 the fat ice cream. I know many 1/2 the fat ice cream containers say Churned on them and I think it's because those ones are maybe healthier because I think they're technically hand-made. But if you don't want any ice cream at all, there is also Frozen Yogurt which tastes like ice cream, but it's not. There's also cream cups and there is a Rainbow Sherbert ice cream cup, but I can only find Ranibow Sherbet ice cream cups at Lucky's, no where else, but there. At other stores like Safeway, they have Rainbow Sherbert ice cream which is healthier than like Moose Tracks as an example.
Tip #3: NEVER SKIP A Meal. Many people can gain weight in many ways. People gain weight when they skip a meal because what's happening is that they aren't getting the nutrients they need, so therefore, what happens is that fat builds up in their body when people skip a meal. Many, many people think that they gain weight because of the fat grams in the foods they eat, but that's not all true. The Total Fat, you don't need to worry about that. What people don't realize is that it's the Calories they need to be aware of. There's a couple of other things people need to be aware of. Another thing is that it's mainly the Saturated fat people need to be aware of in the foods they eat. If the Sat. Fat is about 5 grams or over, than I think that's a little bad. A couple of other fats people need to be aware of is Polyunsaturated and Monounsaturated Fat. You still need those fats in your body, but you only need them in your body every once in a while.
Tip #4: EXERCISE MORE. What many, many people don't do when they're trying to lose weight is that they don't exercise enough while eating the foods they eat. Eating healthy and exercising are the most important things to know about losing weight. Another thing is that for the people of those who smoke and drink (alcohol), you need to quit smoking and drink less. I don't know how, but apparently both of those things can make you gain weight. Here are some examples of exercises you could do: Walking/Running, if u have pets walk/run with them, Swimming, Yoga, Jumping Jacks, or maybe for the people that want to exercise more and like exercising, go to the gym as much as possible when you can. Ex: My mom recently signed up for a Curves class and it's from 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
I have a couple of examples: I remember where I used to live, whenever I got home, there was a man that was a little overweight and he walked around the neighborhood practically everday and I noticed him losing weight just by walking around the neighborhood every time I got home from school. My mom had a friend (in my opinion--I didn't think he was fat), but when I saw him again, I noticed the change. I will admit he was a little fat, he quit smoking, stopped drinking, worked out at the gym, and he doesn't eat any dessert whatsoever--I remember a time when we invited him over for dinner and I offered him some dessert and he rufsed.
I read this in a magazine and I'm not sure if it's entirely true, but if it is, then it's really sad. Honeybooboo wants to play outside with her friends and what she wants to like healthy foods, but her mom won't let her. Her mom banned all fruits and veggies in the house, she's making her daughter gain weight. She thinks that people will dislike honeybooboo because she's known because of being overweight. Her mom is forcing her to eat junk food all the time to gain even more weight. She won't let her play outside or exercise in any way. In my opinion, I don't think she understands what the health risks are for her daughter considering she's so young at the age of 7. Increase in cholosterel is not good because it can affect her heart, she can develop type 2 diabetes, and other conditions that can affect her body and I think there are some, maybe few risks of what she can develop can be fatal. When I saw the picture of her, she did not look happy, she looked miserable. I feel like she wants to be a normal kid, she wants to be able to play with her friends and do what she wants to do. I feel like her mom should let her do what she wants to do like play outside with her friends, eat what she wants to. If she eats healthy food, it's not like she won't ever eat junk food again and I feel like her mom shouldn't care if she wants to lose weight. Instead of her mom worrying about what other people would think of her if she lost weight, her mom should be proud of her for wanting to lose weight. Again, I feel like she should be able to live her life the way she wants to which is most likely as a normal kid. In my opinion, I don't think she would mind seeing what other people would think about her if she lost weight. She's still the same person whether she's overweight or normal weight. I feel like a 7 year old girl shouldn't be miserable because of eating junk food everyday and she needs some healthy foods in her diet to balance her health out otherwise she won't be a healthy girl.
