A poem about the magical nature of dragonflies
Hi, nice to meet you
I've been writing poetry since I was small. Just knew that was something I really wanted to try.
I have evolved some different techniques over the years. In the last few years I've sometimes listened
to music while letting the music guide me as to the style and subject matter of the poem. I don't
usually listen to any lyrics; mainly it's the music itself I respond to. So I started writing the title of
the song beneath the poem, if it was a poem I wrote while listening to a particular song. I wish
I had done it earlier because I have so many poems now that were written to music, but can't
remember now what the songs were.
As a child I was fascinated with foreign languages, codes, and secret writings and I did well
in any subject concerned in any way with those things. I always had my spiral notebook of poems
with me and my little book of codes and secret writing, along with copies of my own codes I had made up.
I'm friendly and love people; so if you ever want to ask me about anything or want some advice,
(on poetry; don't know much about short stories or other sytles of writing) I'd be happy to try and help you out.
