I wake up in
the morning when the Nobel Peace Prize Committee announced the
Nobel Peace Prize, 2009.
My grave shines
with the light of Mecca, and Allah's divinity as it is facing the
relic of a ritual called Mose's cradle, and the knowledge that
graves should always face the east.
I'm not like
Job's comforters, not worrying too much about the dignitary that
got the prize, nor the content of the prize as the geo-politics
of what it's all about.
May be I would
like to applaud you as a different racial predecessor, who has an
ethnicity (Hussein) one, similar to mine, yet who has a color
different from the ancestor who has ruled over me as the hegemony
of an invasive force that has ruthlessly gnawed at the roots of
my sovereignty--like verses in Ecclesiastics written by an
epicurean buffoon, the fallen son of (Praise worthy)David, who
says biblically: "there is a time to plant; there is a timeto
kill and destroy what is planted".
May be, I
reflect as Job with a great gleam of a thought, that you've have
won a worldly honor! Haven't you? Allah, bless your soul!
May be not, as
my 'skin and bones that rot and can't' reflect what is yours as a
worldly acknowledged Caesar's prize with its face as a coin ,
paying taxes and having the image of Caeser. May be I can
contemplate in spirit like the prophet, Ezekiel of a similar but
hostile race that my 'skeletal bones would weave together and my
flesh laugh and speak as a restoration'.
May be not for
now, asAllah's divine rays shine on my stone as light rays
falling from the East.May be not for now!
I remember the
way, your ancestor of an alien race noosed me thinking that he
found the trace of those weapons called weapons of mass
destruction in my sovereign called territory. Did he as a peace
I lie in my
grave, emboldened by the divine rays of Allah's mercy and grace
falling as early light of the morning. I lie and awake my spirit
thinking of what you have won, 'peace'. I smile like the
sunlight, puzzled, quixotic and gleeful at your happiness, sad
that I'm no longer in the world to congratulate you as Fidel
Castro did. Great Man, you did it... for 'peace'!
