"You know you cry when you sleep?" I shot up quickly, flustered, and my hair was a mess.

"What?" I breathed out. I hadn't comprehended what he had told me.

"You cry when you sleep." Fonz said . He smoothed out my hair.

"Stop doing that!" I yelled.

"What?" He drew his hand back.

"Touching me. You don't know what it's like." I rubbed my arms.

"What happens?" Fonz asked excited and curious.

"Turn around." He turned around and I put yesterdays clothing back on. "I can see into your past, and it makes my blood turn to ice for a split second."

"Cool."

"No not cool." I climbed back into bed to rewarm myself. "What makes you so special that you can just keep coming back?"

"Because I know how." Fonz said proudly. He looked very smug. "Didn't you read my book?"

"No." I creased my forehead as if to say, You're kidding me right?

"That's a very important book!"

"Of course it would be to you. You're the author!"

"Shit!" He shouted.

"I'm going to go look for this guy, and you are going to leave me alone." I looked in the bathroom mirror and smoothed out my hair once more.

"Fine!"

I checked myself out in the mirror. I seemed to look alright, and pretty normal to the rest of the world. I headed down the steps and looked at all the paintings along the way. They seemed to have an on going theme of spring time paintings. When I reached the front desk I glanced around. This whole place was floral. It was like a gardening show nightmare.

"How may I help you?" Said a cheery blond women. She was wearing a green spring dress in the peak of the fall season.

"Uh.." I had to wonder if my breath stinks. "Do you guys carry extra tooth brushes? I dropped mine in the toilet."

"Oh yes." She disappeared under the desk. "Here you go." She handed me the tooth brush.

"Yeah..." I hesitated. "What about tooth paste?"

"There should be some complimentary Spring Divinity Tooth Paste in your bathroom." It was weird how her smile never faded. "Anything more I could help you with Ma'am?"

"Yes actually...." I looked around. "Do you know anyway named Alucard?"

"Oh, yes." Her smile finally faded. This worried me.

"What do you know about him?" I leaned closer on the counter.

"Not much actually." She seemed pleased to gossip. "He is very strange though." She began to whisper. "He has been living in Givenchy for almost a year but hasn't bought a house. He just circulates through all the hotels and bed in breakfast's."

"That is strange..." I encouraged. "What does he look like?"

"Oddly attractive. He isn't my type of man, but something about him is soo... Soo... Yummy." She stared into space with a smile and then snapped back into reality. "He looks like he has unkept light brown hair and very lovely green eyes." She thought a little harder. "A bit scrawny... You'll know when you see him though. It's very hard not to notice him."

"I see. Thanks." I quickly left and brushed my teeth in their public bathroom, and quickly left.

I decided that the town was small enough that I could just walk in the rain. I wrapped my arms around my body and pulled the strap of my bag a little higher. Who would own so many bed and breakfasts in such a rainy town. Wouldn't it be bad for business?

I walked and walked and walked. My hair was so wet it probably could have passed off as black. I was about to give up and head back to the car. I wanted my bed, my things, my normal routines. I wanted my shower, my best friend. Hell I would settle for Jeb. I wasn't even doing this for me. I was doing this for a ghost who I had just met and some weird force that kept moving me forward in the awkward journey.

"There he is." I heard Fonz whisper. I looked around but Fonz wasn't there.

Just like the desk clerk had said. I would know it when I saw him. And there he was. He was beautiful. He was just sitting there in the rain. All alone. Just as I had felt when I was sitting in the dark. The lonely feeling that crept up on me every so often. Being alone... Being the only one.

His hair was laying flat with only a few pieces sticking up. His skin was pale with no flaws and it glistened because of the rain. He was wearing a black jacket with a high neck and a tight blue jeans.

"Fonz... What do I say?" I was at a loss for words.

"What ever you feel is necessary.."

I walked slowly over to him. It felt like I was in a dream. I was so much better at dealing with the dead then the living. I sat next to him. He looked at me out of the corner of his eye.

"Did you know Fonz?" I said unable to look at him. I stared at the puddle beneath my feet. I felt his whole head turn and look at me.

"That isn't his real name you know. His real name is Jerald." His voice was smooth, yet stern.

"Uhm..." My voice was shaky. "Are you Alucard of Givenchy?" He didn't say anything. "I don't know what I'm doing." I covered my head with my arms.

"Tell him I sent you." Fonz chimed in.

"Fonz... I mean Jerald sent me.." I finally got the courage to look at him. His beautiful face.

"Jerald is dead." He looked annoyed.

"I know. That's why this is so strange."

"This is unheard of." He said angrily.

"I...."

"I don't know why he thinks this is so unheard of. He should be prepared to believe anything." Fonz chimed in again. "He should have learned by now."

"I think you shouldn't play such cruel tricks. I know every one in this town thinks I'm strange, but I don't need some teenagers pulling pranks on me telling me that my dead friend is sending them messages from beyond the grave." He got up and began to walk away.

"HEY!" I shouted after him. He paused but he didn't turn around.

"I am not making this up, and I am not a teenager!"

All the memories of no one ever believing me. Not believing me is like not believing IN me. All those times I had been sent to doctors who would examine my brain, say nothing is wrong, and I would get sent to another doctor. All those times I had to stay over night in loony bins. All those times I was thrown into a closet and told to pray because I was being possessed by the devil

"I was told by Fonz to come here and see you!" I stomped my foot and my shoe was completely soaked by the puddle. "And I think you should damn well listen to me!"

He turned around and his eyes had changed from green to brown. They were almost black. They burned my skin as he looked over me. I had lost my bravery, but I didn't show it in my face.

"What did he have to say?" He asked angrily. I froze. What did Fonz want me to say?

"Tell him to have lunch with you." Fonz said.

"What..." I whispered.

"Do it!"

"He says that you should have lunch with me." I closed my eyes at how stupid I sounded.

"Where is he now? What is he doing? How can you speak to him?" The black eyes board even harder. There was a loud thumping in my ears.

"He's here... Almost. I can hear him but I can't see him right now."

"Ask him.. Ask him to tell you something that I would only understand." His eye color lightened but still remained dark.

"Did you hear him?" I asked.

"Say the name Zinnia."

"Zinnia?" I was afraid it would mean nothing.

I looked at him and that lonely green eyed stare came back, but it seemed sadder then before. "I'll meet you at Tootsie's diner in a few minutes." I blinked and he was gone.

"Who is Zinnia?" I sat and the bench and Fonz appeared next to me.

"His sister." Fonz hung his head.

"What happened to her?" I stared at him.

"It's a sad story. I didn't know him when it happened, but he told me about it." He looked sad himself. "She was very young and she was kidnapped. They never found her again." I could tell that was the short version to a very long painful story.

"I'm sorry. How long ago?"

"You wouldn't be able to comprehend it." He stood up quickly and forcefully brightened up his mood. "You better get going. He is a speedy person." I nodded and Fonz disappeared.

I got up and headed down the road some more. Why would Fonz make me say her name if it would upset him so bad. I felt guilty. Just like when you say a "yo mama" joke and the person says "my mom is dead. That guilty foot in the mouth feeling. It was only two blocks till I was at the diner. Inside Alucard was patiently waiting.

"How may I help you?" I waitress said. She was wearing a yellow 60's diner outfit. This town was just so cheesy.

"Actually I'm going to go sit there." I pointed towards Alucard. She looked and her eyes grew larger.

"Be careful. He gives me the heebie jeebies."

"Oh okay." I gave her a sarcastic wink and sat down at the seat across from him.

"How did you know about Jerald? Who gave you all this information?" He started in right away. I could tell that he wasn't able to grasp what I was telling him.

"I told you that he told me himself."

"But that is impossible." He raised his voice. "He is dead." I looked around to see some peering faces.

"I can speak to the dead." I whispered behind a cupped hand.

"That is ludicrous." He rubbed his temples.

"He told me earlier that you of all people should believe in anything." He gave me a blank stare.

"What did he say to you about me?"

"Nothing. I know nothing about you." I played with my silver wear. "All I know is he keeps shoving me towards you because he thinks I will be able to help with something."

"What might that be?"

"I don't know exactly."

"Maybe..." He started to say something.

"How may I help you two?" Said the cheery waitress.

"Can I have some cocoa?" I said politely.

"Mhm, and what about you sir?"

"Nothing for me." She gave me a weary look, and walked away.

"You not hungry?" I asked.

"Yeah.. I guess." I opened my mouth to say something but I found I had nothing to say. "What is your name?"

"Oh, Indie." We sat there in an awkward silence. Neither of us knew what was next.

"Here you go!" Said the waitress. "One steaming hot cocoa." She smiled and walked away.

"How did you know Fonz?" I asked just before I hid my face behind the cocoa.

"It's actually a funny story." He chuckled lightly. I couldn't help but smile myself. "He was actually trying to break into my home, but in a weird series of events we became friends." He laughed a bit harder. "And room mates!"

"I'm not even going to try to wrap my head around that one." I laughed.

"How about you? How did you and Jerald meet?"

"Last night." I smiled.

"Just last night?" He looked confused.

"Yes. He is the most annoying spirit I have ever encountered." I sipped my cocoa with a gleeful smile.

"That's what most people have said about him. Well, minus the spirit part."

"HEY!" Fonz shouted.

"You offended him." I laughed.

"Is he here now?" I looked next to me. There was Fonz...

"Right next to me." I smiled.

"And he can hear what I'm saying?" Fonz shrugged his shoulders.

"Uhm. A little bit."

"How does this usually work?" He looked over at the invisible Fonz. "Ghosts just follow you around till you help them."

"No." I shook my head. "I usually have short encounters with them. I ask a few question then they go on their way. Fonz here has found a way to continually bother me though. And I hope he won't tell anyone else." I looked sternly at Fonz. A coo coo clock in the back of the diner chimed.

"Oh gosh Adriana!" I quickly got up from my seat. HOME! I had forgotten all about it.

"Where are you going?" He grabbed my belt loop.

"I've been missing for over a day." I moved his hand. It was ice cold. "I have to go back home before some one calls the cops." I swung my bag over my shoulder.

"But I want to see you again."

"I'll come back. Don't worry."
