Mark grabs his black blazer and black hat which is tall and long. I stare at him for countless seconds by the front door.
"What?" He asks. I shake my head slowly and start laughing. "What is your problem, Jay?" He asks once more.
"Why do you have a hat on?" I ask pleadingly. "It look's bloody pathectic!" He twist's his hat before grinning down to me.
"It's gonna make me look different." He tells me. Yea... different is one word for it. I think to myself. That's the thing with Mark. He's very odd, but extremely funny. He's been my best friend since we were 6 and 10 years on we still get on like two peas in a pot. "So... come on. 5 minutes left, and you might get laid tonight." He tells me casually. I sputter all over the place unable to speak. He opens the door easyily and jogs down towards his Mini cooper or his baby as he tells me. It's blood red with a black top and black stripes going around it. " Get in Jay!" He shouts at me. I stumble over to the car and get in the front seat. He rubs his car all along the sides with a geniune smile on his face. I chuckle to myself and gesture him to get inside the car. He get's in quickly and turns the ignestion on.
" Mark, I really don't think I should bother going." I tell him honestly. I feel him tense up and give me a pityful look. His eye's are dark blue as he stares at me.
"Jay, I know you really hate party's or things normal people do... but your my bro and I want you their. If you didn't come I would be so depressed. Also..." He starts grinning towards me. "I know someone wants to dance with you... you know her. She's got long hair and I know you like her too." I blushed scarlet before looking down. Janice. She's been my friend since year 3 and Mark is right. I do like her. I love her. She's beautiful, with her blonde long hair and bright brown eye's. Like someone off a princess story. But, why would she wanna dance with me. She's properly got a date. I sigh deeply before turning to my best mate. "Thanks man, I know you wanted me to come... I came. But, Janice already has a date."
"No she doesn't!" He tells me honestly. "She was never asked... she's not exactly popular is she!" I start grinning and I can't stop... yes. I have a chance. I am suddenly very happy to be going to this stupid prom!
