Sam had some water then he started to narrate.
"Three weeks ago, I came home from work, I was feeling rather tired so I skipped the TV and went upstairs. Just to get a couple of drinks from your Black Knight bottle."
"Everything was absolutely fine. I had gone out of this room to get something, I donot remember what, when I came back, I saw the scotch cup over turned and the drink had spilled all over. At first I thought it was Sandra who did it. I didn't say anything to her. She must have come looking for me and somehow collided with the table. I took no notice.
But this started to happen quite regularly after that day. Whenever I am alone in the room trying to finish a drink or so; something or the other would happen. Either I would drop the glasses. Either I would choke but never could I drink in peace. I felt like someone watching me. I felt very uncomfortable, I would look around but no one would be there.
Perhaps it was my bad luck spilling the drink, someone or something seems to disturb me while drinking in peace. This seemed to infuriate me, I took it as a challenge. My drinking pattern changed. I increased my frequency.
That day, may be a week and a half ago, Elle and I had drinks before going to bed. Nothing happened.
Encouraged by this, I thought, perhaps it was my mind playing tricks on me. So I sat to drink alone that day and yet again I spilled some of the scotch while pouring. I was angry. I exclaimed, "Will someone let a man drink in peace...?"
With that I felt some one slap my hand violently. The wine glass flew across the room and shattered against the wall. I could see no one. I was punched hit with something hard. Still I could see no one. But the beating continued. Someone kept on slapping me and punching me.
I was dead scared, I called Elle, and she came running in. As soon as she entered everything stopped. When she asked, I told her I was just asking her for a drink. I knew she was not convinced.
Elle had no knowledge of my mysterious beating, she grumbled that I have taken to drinking and I broke the glass. . She cleaned it up. I told her nothing about the unexplained attack on me.
After this whenever I am alone in this room, and no matter what I am doing, I could hear a woman's voice... she says, "You deceived me... you killed me... I will kill you".
I panicked but things did not stop, rather they started to increase. I knew then I am being attacked by something beyond this world. I wanted it to leave me alone. I tried talking to it.
Whenever I would be alone in the room, I would say, "Leave me alone... who are you... what do you want from me?"
I started to keep aloof from Elle and Sandra lest they should be drawn into this.
But today it was different; dust seemed to have accumulated over the Black Knight bottle, instead of asking Elle to clean it up, I reached for it. It was kept at the top of this closet. As soon I reached for it, the doors of the closet burst open and someone gave me violent push. I was flung a few feet away and luckily I landed over bed. Then I saw faint figure of a woman dressed in black, matching the description you gave... your Lady in Black. She was very angry, furious infact; she slammed me down and started to strangle me. I tried to free myself but she seemed to have some sort of a demonic strength. I had to struggle to free myself and somehow I got up and ran out of the room... I must have slipped down the stairs."
"Oh My God!", I exclaimed.
"Let me find out who she is and what she is holding against you."
My team had already set up the necessary equipments by that time. By that time Shelly, whom I had requested to do some research had also joined us. She was ready and up to date with her research on the property and the land. She had copies of deeds of that house, some newspaper Xerox and her notes, along with copies of a few old photographs. I was stunned to see my Lady In Black in one of the copies. She was photographed along with a man much older than her.

I went through every detail she had brought. My intuition proved right, the Lady in Black was indeed an aristocratic lady. Her name was Elizabeth Washington married to a middle aged man named Samuel Washington, owner of vast lands.
But why does she haunt Sam? I needed to find out.
