Janet could see all the blood. The hurt and the anger that came from the floating faces. The bones crackling under the tires of the truck not only scared her but pleased her, at the same time. Janet didn't understand. Everything was so vivid and clear but, then, she couldn't see anything at all. All she knew was she was young, scared, alone and covered in blood. None of it made sense! Janet scratched her head.
A pain shot down her back. Why was she hurting so bad? What happened to make her back shoot pain all the way down her legs?
She wanted to scream.
She wouldn't dare.
She couldn't.
If she screamed she had a feeling she would be in trouble.
She would wake them up. Wake who up? Where the hell was she?
She didn't want to wake them up.
If she woke them up they would tell on her again.
She didn't want that.
She tried to move.
Her back and legs felt heavy.
Almost as if they weren't there.
A tear escaped Janet's eye.
Was this what it was like?
Janet glanced at the door of her room.
She could see the image of a man.
A very tall muscular man with broad shoulders and dark hair.
Janet's heart was beating out of her chest.
She wanted to throw things.
She wanted to scream.
She stayed quiet as a mouse.
He looked at her.
He had the most beautiful eyes she had ever seen.
Janet smiled.
It wasn't a happy smile.
It was more of a wicked smile.
She waited for the gentleman to come closer.
He didn't move.
He didn't budge.
He didn't even flinch a finger.
He just stood there staring at her from the entrance of the door.
Janet grabbed the knife from her dinner plate.
She cletched it with everything she had.
The wanting to throw it across the room was there.
Instead, she cletched it in her hand as if it was a matter of life and death.
The silhouette instantly disappeared into the hallway.
Janet tried as hard as she could to see but she couldn't even get up from her bed.
He was gone.
Janet wanted to scream.
She closed her eyes still holding the knife in her hands.
