All hope is lost you think to yourself. Finally you have a great life, all you ever wanted. You had the best of friends, a great relationship with the person you love and now you have to move to the forest of Alabama. “This is bullshit”, you whisper to yourself as you watch the trees along the highway fly past your mother’s car. I can’t believe this, you think to yourself. Your mother turns around to look back at you and your brother. Your brother is the same age as you and looks almost like you. “This is fucked up mom”, your brother says looking out his window. “Don’t use that language with me young man,” Your mother says back sternly looking in her review mirror at him. She looks at you and says, “Cheer up honey; you never know what can happen here. It’s a great way to start over and make new friends.” You look at her and hold your tongue. You don’t want to say something that will make her yell at you. I had a great life back home, you think to yourself. All you could think about is your friends back at home, how they threw you a party before you had to move to this dumb house all the way out in Alabama, how the love of your life made out with you and told you that they would never leave you no matter how far away you are from them. You smiled at the thought, reminiscing about the good old time that you and your friends had together. Then you clinched your teeth together as your mind snaps back in to reality. The only reason why we had to move is because of you....Aunt Fuck up, you thought to yourself biting your inner cheek a little thinking about being in that Asshole of a lawyer’s office, Him reading the last testimony and Will of your dear Aunt. She was announced dead last summer and no one knew she had a Will hiding in that old ass house of hers till they we’re moving things out and found it lying under her bed with a cat laying on top of it. It was so fucked up that she had to give you the house. Not your mother or your brother but you. The house was yours and you could live in it if you wanted to but of course you didn’t. You wanted to stay where you lived for most of your life. That where you belonged. Why can’t any one understand that? So your mother told you that you and your brother should live there and see how it is. That you can go to school there and all. You look at your mother and in your mind flip her off. You shake your head and start thinking back to that lawyer’s office. Fact that it was a month since you heard the Will almost kills you. You only had a month to say good bye to your friends, the ones you known all your life, yeah not ganna happen. But here you are in this tight car with your entire life belongings along with your brothers. “Hey guys we’re right around the corner for your new home”, your mother says happily looking back at you and your brother. “Can’t wait”, you say to yourself.
Well you’re not at the house yet. No fact is you’re somewhere worst, much worst. That Damn Lawyer’s office that told you had a house. Why you had to stop here first? You have no idea. You’re waiting in the car with your brother. “This Fucking sucks,” You say out loud. Your brother looks at you and says, “Well what can we do now? Everything is said and done. There’s nothing we can do now about this.” He takes a cigarette out from his pocket and lights it up. He inhales and blows the smoke out from his nose. You always told him that was the weirdest thing he has ever done. “Can I have one of those?” you ask. He looks at you, takes one out of his packet and hands it to you along with a lighter. You put the cigarette in your mouth and light it up. You inhale and blow out. You let your body and mind relax. It feels so good to have one right now. It feels like your home again, just you and your brother on your back porch smoking a cigarette together and talking about everyone in your school, who you like and dislike. Then you and your brother hung out with the same people you known all your lives. Now and then you let other people in to that little group of yours but it was mostly who you known since you could walk. Now it was just you and him, the feeling hurt a little knowing now everything was going to be different. You hated the feeling so you took another puff of your cigarette and tried to brush off the feeling. Finally your mother walks out of the lawyer’s office holding something in her fist. She gets in the car and turns around to look at you and your brother. You both look at her and ask, “What?” at the same time. She opens her fist and dangles a key chain ring with keys on it in front of the both of you. “Look what I got,” she says, “The keys to your new home.” You both go back to looking out the window and smoking your cigarettes. “Oh come on guys,” She says smiling like an idiot, “it will be fun a chance to live on your own a little.” “Yeah sound amazing mom,” I said without taking my eyes off the window. “Trust me,” She says, “You’ll love it.” Then she starts the car and starts to pull out of the parking lot. Still looking out the window you see a man holding a piece of cardboard. You look at him in wonder because at first you thought he was a homeless man but as you keep staring at him you see that he can be homeless because he wearing such a fine suit. As he turns to you you see what the sign says.
Beware
Of
The House
You would have just laughed at the sign but you notice it had your name on it. As you drove away the man smiled at you and waved. Does he know me? , you thought to yourself. But it was crazy to think that way because you haven’t ever seen your aunt. How you got the house was a mystery still to come. As your mother drove along you thought about that man and his sign. Then you heard what was probably the worst thing you heard in your whole life, “We’re here”.
The house was in the back of an old forest and was not the best looking thing. Fact it looked like someone gave a first grader a box of tools and said build a house. It was a pill of shit in the back of the forest. If a space ship could see this from space they’d name it Mount Shit Everest. You mother pulled in to the circular drive way and parked the car in front of the front door. “Finally here”, your mother says opening the door to the car. She peeks her head back in the car. “Come on out you two”, she says grabbing her purse. You and your brother open your doors and get out. As you walk around the car you look at the house. It was an old Victorian styled house that looks like it hadn’t had a coat of new paint since the eighteen hundreds. “Doesn’t it look great?” your mother asks you smiling and looking at the house. You look at her and almost wanted to hit her up side her head. But you just shook your head and kept looking at the house. You looked at the very top window of the house and saw a shadow figure standing there. “Mom there’s something up there.” You say pointing to the top window. You look back at the window and the figure is gone. Your mother looks at you and shakes her head. “You probably just say the reflection of a bird or something.” Then she turns back and starts to head up the porch stairs to the front door. You and your brother follow her looking still looking around the yard and at the house. Your mother pulls out the keys to the house and opens the door. You watch as a cloud of dust follows the door as it swings open. As you slowly walk in to your mew home the floor gives. You hear your mother scream and before you can do anything she fall in to the black mouth of your house.
Here where you have a choice. To save your mother you can go down three different ways. The first way is a door, if you choose this way go to the next chapter. The next way is you can climb down. There's rope sitting next to the stairs and it looks strong enough to hold you, if you choose this way go to chapter three. The last choose is you can call the police go to chapter four. The choice is your which will you choose.
