Say My Name

Poetry By: CursedHeart

Jack the Ripper was never caught, never stopped. He lives on among us, through our awe and terror.

Say my name.

Whisper it in the depths of night
When the innocent have gone to their beds
And the filthiest of human stalk the streets.

Say my name.

It is unknown to you, even to myself.
The name you know, is given; bestowed.
A reward for the glorious deeds I have done.

Their throats were unmarked.
Their skin soft, beneath the grime.
Their eyes wide with horror.
And they were mine.

My name is that of their bodies Ripped to shreds
My legend is that I successfully hid in the shadows
My namesake is the fear that lives on after.

Say my name.

Let its glory and terror roll of your tongue
Let my hidden face reflect in your knife
Let my soundless footsteps follow you home

End my reign over your nightmares? Never.
Threaten my life; after the "protecters" failed.
I am immortal; I live through your fear.

Say my name
