We Always Know The Sun Will Rise

Poetry By: eeoopig
Horror

About death, when you have not been forgiven. After reading some of "theravenatemyravioli's" poems, I just had to right one of my own. I had no idea of how it'd turn out - I just made it up as I went along, as I usually do. Hope you enjoy it :)

However cold and dark the night,

we always know the sun will rise.

Open up your heart to the evening,

because we all know you'll be leaving,

we all wish you could stay,

so we could all dance and sway,

to the sound of the waves swishing.

All dreams start with wishing,

all dreams end with missing,

and the devil will be hissing and kissing,

you and your miserable life away.

Into the night you run,

leaving no time for goblins fun,

in the end you know you'll die,

otherwise it'd be a lie.

Then you hear all that screaming,

so you pray, but without meaning.

Heart pounding, you know time has come,

and into the depths of hell you succumb,

But then you see something shocking,

and as you burn,

it is mocking,

the sun has risen,

and you have not been forgiven.

However dark and cold the night,

you should have wished it stayed without light...
