(Pumpkin Spice57 Contest) Deep Blue Eyes

Poetry By: I be the killa
Horror

For this contest I had to choose a letter and number to determine what my theme and object I had to use in it were. After I commented I got chosen to do a horror piece using the word dagger and the picture that I used with the piece. I don't think this is by best work but I do have confidence that it is good enough to be up there among the better ones in this competition. The way to win, get comments, views, and likes.

Deep Blue Eyes

Dark brown hair and deep blue eyes

Nobody knows why she cries

But fresh new scars cover her arm

Who would ever cause this child harm?

Only the young girl knows why

Why all her family had to die

Maybe that's what keeps her up at night

Experiencing such a horrible sight

But the mere mention of the her loved ones dead

That would bring back a memory so red

Does not stir this poor widowed child

Every time it's mentioned she'd smile

The smile would never show in bed

The girl would scream as if she'd seen the dead

But when the nurse came to see what was wrong

She had seen what scared her all along

Hands, bloody hands dragging the girl by her feet

The girl screamed as she clung to her bed sheet

But what lay next to her bed

A dagger covered in thick goo so red

Voices moaned murder as the girl shrieked out a plea

Her body turned to ash and shout out debris

Within that debris a scorched picture was found

It was of the girl with her family around

But if you looked into that young girl's eyes

You would find the reason her demise

A dagger was held behind her back

And the once deep blue eyes were a shade of black

She killed her family but the skeletons won

No one believed what that girl had done

It shows that a murderer lies

Even behind the deepest blue eyes.
