The Devil's Daughter

Poetry By: Midnight Jade

She tried to save you from your sins and instead you damned her for all her father's work. How can we suspect to grow as a people if we carry on turning people down just because of what their Father has done?

The Devil's Daughter

A tiny child with boar-like horns

An innocent gaze of blood

But you will show no mercy to me

For all my Fathers' done

I weep for Earthlings try I might

But you don't understand

For all the good I've tried to do

You only see my Father's command

I pray to God like all of you

As you hang me from the cross

I am not my father's daughter I scream

But you believe I'm wrong

The blood rushes to my skull

And my hair falls loose and free

You stroke my head with an acid touch

Until I cannot see

I yearn for you to see my good

For the chance that you gave your Lord

But instead you bury me in a blood lined cave

My body left bludgeoned and scorched

And still you seem to wonder why

The Earth simply isn't fair

I'd wept for the forgiveness you were told to give

But you were never willing to share

So next time your filthy mouths

Open with angered complaints

Remember, It was you that chose to ignore my help

It was your own will to taint
