When you swim at night, you may not swim alone.

Velvet ripples yielding,

warm and caressing.

Washing away consciousness,

with every calming stroke.

Water and night together,

entwined in one embrace,

intoxicating the soul.

Farther and farther drifting,

lost in sweet suspension,

below a canopy of stars.

Out there in silence,

circles flowing in rhythm,

growing larger and larger,

coming closer and closer.

At last the final embrace,

with crimson jaws parting,

to bestow a lovers kiss.
