I always wondered
Bout a little boy
His face all grey
Sunk in with hunger
He can't see
Overall the drippingblood.
The poor little boy is so hurt
He's so scarred
So damaged
So unloved
So scared
So bound to his pain
That burns with the rain
His bones are cracked
His skin is split
His muscles stretched
And his tendons torn
But his heart
Lays untouched.
Now I wonder about a little girl
Her tears blot her beautiful face
Her bones are solid
Her skin is stitched
Her muscle fine
Her tendons favored.
Yet this poor little girl is hurt.
She's so scarred
. So damaged
So unloved
So scared
So bound to the pain
That burns in the rains place.
In her little delicate
Untouched arms
Lays a shredded cloth
That's been used to clean dirt
Thats been stretched and bruised
Bitten and peeled
Layer from layer.
In her little delicate
Untouched arms
Lays a shredded heart
That's been touched way to often.
How I wonder about the broken boy
And gambled girl.
I don't know what for
But I wonder
Who one hurts more?
