Our shadows are often are yearnings concealed we must face them to see what they reveal

Beast of the night

you can not haunt me
I will hunt you down
through the corridors of fear and shadows
I will look for you among the crimson poison berries
and the thorn and briar
Beast of the night
You can not taunt me
I will laugh at my own humility
and cry at my own inabilities
and crippled though I may be
I will crawl on bloody knees
to follow your scent
for in your relentless pursual of me
you do not realize you are your own worst enemy
and upon the dark obsidian mirror
i shall inscribe the runes
which bind you to me
and then we shall both be captured and free
Beast of the night
you can not haunt me
for I shall weave your nightmare
into a tapestry of ecstasy
and you will plead with me to untie the knots
untangle the snarls the snares
beware my little beastie
i shall ride you in my prayers
Vashti Puls
