Beneath mine
With echoes
From the cold war

Molds enchanted chimes
As an offspring...
Singing bullets
As he draws near,
T’was his presence
That I fear…

Red droplets of vow
Leak in thy faucet now
And in each tear
That I owe
Was the person
I used to know

His name,
As I recall,
Was no word at all
But an action instead;
In each core
Buried alive,
By dehydrated woe

A nuclear compound
Crawling
Underneath the ground,
Unforgotten
For all he bought
In the out streams
Of midnight
To sleep in his coffin
Of dear twilight
