My Final Curtain Falls
By Yuu Shindemura
Waning, losing hope
Amidst this deep breath
My vision blackens the path
Cannot see the light.
A taste of salt drips
Down my lips it crawls
Bright red on my hand it falls
Blood slithers my throat.
The moon shines in fright
The cemetery draws
In this last breath I will curse
Death will not take me.
Now kneeling the ground
I cannot take much
This blood now drops to its last
Falling to the soil.
I won't be alive
When the sun shines clear
The cold air wraps me to sleep
Sleep forevermore.

this is a haiku actually, the stanzas are in 5:5:7:5 ratio syllables.
