Battling Insanity
White walls,
Empty room,
Horrid sadness,
Mindless gloom,
Padded cell,
Empty story,
Living Hell,
Death before me.
And so this nightmare
has begun,
And all before
This day is done.
Whispered voices
Always speaking.
The Devil's minions,
Always wreaking
Havoc upon my mind
And spirit.
Lost souls screaming,
I always hear it.
The burning flames
Lash out before me,
To pull me down.
In all his glory,
The Devil always wins.
The silence hits me
All at once.
Then the darkness,
I am shunned.
I'm all alone,
This can't be undone.
Don't you see?
The Devil has won.
