One night a man named Tom had a dream. He was standing alone on his gray driveway. There was an erie mist in the air,and a menacing silence hung over the neighborhood. A hearse came crawling slowly on the road,it's black paint gleaming, though the area seemed completely deprived of sunlight. To Tom's horror, the hearse stopped in front of his driveway. It idled for a moment, then the polished window started to slowly roll down.

A pale man with silvery-white hair sat in the driver's seat. He smiled at Tom,it was a friendly enough gesture, though he sensed some sort of evil behind it. Tom gaped as he saw that the hearse was packed with bodies, and the stench of death filled his nose. Most of the corpses appeared to be screaming, fear in their lifeless eyes. The man driving the hearse said in a cheery voice, despite his depressing job," There's room for one more,"and winked at Tom. He waited for a moment for Tom's reaction, then rolled up the window and drove off into the mist.

Tom awoke in a cold sweat. His heart was still pounding from his dream. It was just a dream, don't get so worked up,he reasurred himself. Looking at the clock,he realized it was time to get to work. As Tom pulled on his suit,he couldn't get the dream out of his mind. When he got down stairs,he walked into the kitchen and pulled open the stainless-steel fridge door. There was next to nothing to eat,so Tom decided to just pass on breakfast and get going.

Tom stepped out of his car and on to the pavement in front of his office building. His building was extremely tall, and of course, his office was at the very top. Tom reached the elevator and pushed the button next to the arrow pointing up.The button lit up a bright green and the elevator doors slid open. Of course, the elevator was full of people, and Tom sighed in anoyance and stepped back to signal he would wait for the next one. A voice from someone near the front of the elevator said,"There's room for one more." Tom spotted the man who had spoken and froze. It was the hearse driver. He winked at him and Tom stammered,"N-no thanks,I'll just wait for the next one."

"Alright, suit yourself."the hearse driver replied, and the doors slid shut.

That was...weird,Tom thought. No,it must have been a coincidence. But how could he dream about a man he had never met before? Tom tried to push this out of his mind as the elevator went up,noisily as usual. One floor, two floors, three floors, all the way to the top floor. Suddenly there were loud screams and a huge CRASH!

Tom later discovered that the elevator had falled all the way to the basement and crashed. Every single passenger had died.
