I scribbled over the picture that I had sketched using the eyes that I suspected my little sister Libby had drawn. Ever so small and cheeky nobody would believe she’d do such a thing, as ruining my end of year assignment. The eyes still pierced through my scribbles. I rubbed them out, but unfortunately, the eyes were still there. They looked at me with evil triumph. They had won! I glared back at them angrily, and they seemed to smirk back at me.

“Why won’t you go away?!” I shouted. Defeated, I switched off the light and crawled into bed.

That’s when I heard the laughing. I looked around wildly and gasped when I spotted something glinting in the dark of my room. They were giving off an eerie red light…I soon realised what they were: the eyes! The thing stepped out in person, my person: the one that I had drawn!

“You drew me. You drew the mouth that I can now speak with. You drew the legs that I can now walk with. You drew the body that I now exist in! You drew me into existence and made me a solid creature with solid features that I can now hurt you with.” It started laughing a dry, hoarse laugh that sounded like choking.

“Noooooo!” I screamed! “You can’t!”

“Oh you obviously don’t know how life works. Well lemme give you a crash lesson dessert. The worm squiggles along the ground helplessly and down swoops the bird and eats the worms up. Guess who’s the worm.”

I gulped. Oh what was I going to do? An idea slowly began to form in my mind and I almost laughed.

“If I drew you, then I can get rid of you!”

“Like I said, life doesn’t wok like that. Time for you beddy-BYES!” It laughed as it started to close in on me, with it gigantic hand.

“Rahhhhhhh!” I screamed as I dodged the hand and managed to make it to my assignment. Just as quickly I tore it up.

“Nooooo” Moaned the eye as it faded away.

I roared over the victory.

“Who do you think the work is now?!” …

“That’s a great story,” says Miss Black, “Too bad couldn’t of put it in your assignment. Now how did you really loose it?” She looks at me with those awfully familiar black, piercing, beady eyes…
