It was an ordinary night I was going on an evening stroll and it had just begun to sprinkle and all of a sudden it happens, I fall to the ground my shoulder throbbing crusted blood begins to fall off as I try to block the blood from gushing out of the huge hole in my shoulder but it flows out of me like water flows in a river.I hear a voice shouting my name Billy, Billy I try to see where the voice is coming from but i am too weak. I try my best to at least look around and see if anyone is around, and out of the corner of my eye I see a shadow of a tall skinny man with curly hair standing in the tree line.
I try to yell for help but nothing comes out. All at once the pain starts to hit me and I try to not cry but it hurts way too bad. I start to feel tears start to run out of my eyes but I can't help it, I try to wipe them but I don't have enough strength. Voices start running threw my head and they seem real but I don't recognize them I hear one that sounds close to me and I try one last time to yell but only a whisper comes out.
Right then and there I thought I was going to die and that's when I hear a footstep start coming closer to me, it sounds like they are on the phone but I can't tell, and all at once I hear sirens and lights flashing in the distance it sound like if a riot has just broken out. I just wish I could call for help or do something to get someone's attention but I don't have enough strength to even keep my eyes open. I finally open my eyes one last time and all I see is a bunch of people trying to talk to me and put me on a stretcher.
All I remember is being put in the back of an ambulance and waking up this morning to a bunch of people surrounded around me. I try to ask one of the people what I'm doing here but I get no response. I see people start to walk away and I try desperately to try to get some sleep and right as I am about to pass out I hear a knock on the door, it starts to make a noise and then it bursts open and I see a lady that resembles someone I have known for a long time but I don't know if it is here until she asks me if I'm alright. I start to cry but I can't. She pulls a chair up close to my bed and starts to explain why I'm here and the only thing I heard was that the person who shot me said it was an accident and he didn't mean for it to happen. About four weeks after the shooting I was released from the hospital and able to finally see my family.
