The Afternoon Special

The elderly Mildred Hindenburg cleared her throat, "Welcome to the after school curriculum where we will discuss things of much standards such as tidying up after students," Jensen looked nervously at the newcomers as they all trailed into the classroom, each speaking their names very meekly and they cluttered the thin hallways, gossiping about the new club that just opened up its doors, its bright floral sign proclaiming the latest schedule at the end of school term. Underneath the highlighted table there was one note scrawled, "The Afternoon Special: For VIPs only, at 4 pm."

"The Afternoon Special?" Jensen responded excitedly, "What's that?" Elderly Mrs. Mildred sighed loudly, "You students wouldn't be interested in learning about what it means, it has some implications of some extracurricular activities not worth mentioning about," She hand waved the thought away with a chuckle. "Can I join then?" spoke another student wearing high heels as she fumbled sweetly through her purseā€¦

Gretel Wynn laughed sarcastically, "As if, only the top elite can waltz into there and still come out intact socially. It takes pure guts to take up the challenge of being the Queen Bee, my darl,"
