Alone in the dark room, the silhouettes danced with the dim candlelight which revealed their true form. The boy was afraid but he held his eyes in his hands as a humid breath of the shadows’ against the back of his neck rose the hairs on his spine.  Open your eyes, it whispered. No! Just take a peak. Never! Smiles greeted him with fangs as they drooled upon his nose, breathing on his face. The sockets in his eyes were empty, and he held his hands to his chest, holding onto two white spheres with a pool of tree bark stuck in between. Ivory teeth sunk onto his flesh as he winced in pain.
Awake. It was only but a dream, he thought, as he turned to the side of the bed. A pair of sapphire eyes greeted his. Peekaboo, it said.
