A Twilight Saga Story

Hi. I'm 17 years old and soon to be 18. I've been writing since elementary school where I found a talent and love for writing stories. I started off writing short stories but got started on a novel during my Freshman year of high school. It was at first based of a personal experience, but has taken a mind of it's own and turned into something, I believe, much better. I am now in my senior year of high school and I will be pursuing my Bacholar in Equine Science and a Bacholar in Business. I love horses. I was born loving them. I was first put on a horse during my church's Vacation Bible School and I wanted to take the reins and run without someone leading me. I always am amazed by the grace and beauty of the horse. I was able to start riding when I was about 10 years old. My best friend was a horse named Streaker. I learned everything I know about interacitng with horses from him and two others, Juan and Impressive. I lost Streaker during my junior year in highschool and that was the same year that my father was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease. This disease effects more than the motor skills and function of the body. It ruins the mind as well.

For you to understand some of my writing, you have to understand that I've been a victim of bullying for all of my life. Ever since Elementary school because I had terribly short hair and my last name is unusual. Even through my years in middle school and into my senior year of high school, the bullying hasn't stopped. I've learned how to deal with it, but once you've been pushed to the edge once, you're allways a victim. Even outside of school, in my neighborhood and my church, I've been bullied.

My senior year started off terribly, I'm in the marching band at my school and we lost our band director to a sudden heart attack. I'll never forget that morning. Several people had been calling me but like any teenager I had wanted sleep. Once I actually decieded to get up, I got antoher call. It shattered the world as I knew it. As a section leader, I had to call my section with the news. This couldn't have waited until an adult to tell them. I looked after them like my children. It was my duty to tell them. That is the hardest thing I've had to go through so far in my life. Listening to every single one of my girls, break down crying on the phone and I had no way to comfort them because I was holding back my own tears. But the band go through it and we made it a great year. The seniors stood up and held back our pain in order to take care of our 'kids' and hold up the teachings of our beloved teacher.

One of the people that have gotten me through all of this is my wonderful boyfriend of two years <3 He found me in one of the worst times of my life. He gave me a hand in a very dark time and helped raise me out of it. I plan on marrying him one day.

One of my favorite shows is Doctor Who. He's given me so many good quotes and has good lessons. My favorite quote from that show "A man who never would... Make this a society where A MAN NEVER WOULD!" It comes from the 4th season. I do not recall what episode it is from. I want to be a person who never would (if you can't tell I am female lol)

I love have two animals that are very close to my heart: my cat Ginger and my "adopted" Appaloosa horse Friend. I got my cat about 6 years ago and she/he doesn't really have a gender. It's odd, but even the vet couldn't tell. So as far as I'm concerned Ginger is a she. My horse on the other had is a beautiful marble Appy and we know he's a boy. He's not mine on paper but I love him very dearly. I trained him for trail riding about 3 years ago. I haven't been through from him, but I have had plenty of spooks. I love riding him bareback. It is the closest I've ever been to him when we canter bareback. I haven't galloped him yet, but that will be my goal before I leave for college.

I'm not a big poetry writer. I'm more of a novel or story writer, but when something is bugging me or I'm really upset. I write poetry. I don't have a particular rythm scheme or really rythm at all. It's usually 4 lines and sometimes has a recurring stanza.

I'm not sure what else to put but feel free to ask me any questions. I look forward to everyone reading my writing and reading tons of writing myself. I'd love your opinion of my stories. Thanks much!
