One of the most popular games on planet Xirnon, and in fact on quite a number of neighboring planets, involves leaping off of a very tall structure while simultaneously exchanging genetic material (having sex). For some species this game determines the number of their offspring by how many pieces they splatter into when they hit the ground. After an exhilarating free fall, the parents smash into from 50 to 100 pieces, each of which begins the cycle of life all over again by slowly climbing back up to the top of the structure.

Throughout history different societies on earth have occationally experimented with similar games. For example, a tribe in Tibet found it amusing to jump off a mountain cliff into the waiting arms of their lovers, but always with disasterous results. Fortunately, several hundred deaths later, a high priest thought of a variation of the game that involved jumping off a foot stool instead.
