Chapter 6
Lizzie: Wacky Hair Day
September 24, 2008
Today was just a normal day. I woke up in a super primpy mood, and decided to curl my hair. Abbie called me about ten minutes ago telling me she would be here to pick me up for school in about twenty minutes.
The doorbell rang, and after I looked at my half curled hair skeptically, I threw it in a messy bun and walked out to Abbie’s car. She was giving me her “I will not hesitate to drive away if you don’t hurry up” look.
“It’s wacky hair day! Didn’t you get the memo?”
She looked at me for a moment before she bursted out laughing, “And pajama day too, huh?”
It was too late. Abbie laughed again before throwing the car into reverse and driving away.
I sighed and leaned into the seat trying to think of an excuse. We pulled into student parking casually like any other day. Only today, we parked right next to a black BMW.
I about died.
It was Cameron’s Black BMW.
Abbie noticed me now hyperventilating and rolled her eyes, “Do you want me to re-park”
Dear, dear Abbie…she was a good friend.
But however at this moment…very stupid.
“NO!! When will we ever park by him again!” I jumped out of the car, in my pajamas, and found myself face to face with Cameron Cruz.
“Hey” he flashed me a smile and a quick nod before catching up with some kid from the track team.
“Hi” I said in a love sick voice, after he had walked away. I looked down at Abbie who was sitting in the car…she was laughing so hard that her face was red and I was seriously afraid she might have busted a rib. She rolled down the window, “You should have seen the look on your face!”
Great. Today was going to be a great day.
