Not only did i know no one, but i had to face the cafeteria
holding a lime green pack of ice to my head. I tried to make it
look as casual as possible, but it was hard to do with a huge bag
of ice glued to your fore-head. I shuffled through the cafeteria
feeling so many pairs of eyes stare at me. I urgently looked for
an empty seat, but it seemed like the cafe was packed solid. My
eyes flashed to an emptyseat where the girl i recognized as CeCe
sat. I gratefully put down my tray of food.
"Hi CeCe!," i exclaimed. She shot her head up and looked at me warily than went back to writing in her calculus text book.
"Hello Casey," she muttered. She pushed her own tray of food away from mine, scooting her seat over an inch. I squinted at her. Did i smell? i casually smelt under my shirt. Nope. I shrugged it off. Maybe i was being paranoyed. Yeah,i was, i decided, gulping down my carton of milk.
"So what courses are you taking?" I asked, trying to make some small talk.
"Calculus.Drama.." she muttered something untelligible after she said drama.
"Oh so you are into drama?" i asked anxiously. We were finally talking.
"Yeah i am.." She responded. Another girl with purple hair joined us.
"Hey im Heather.Who are you?" She asked, shoving a burger in her mouth. Before i could answer CeCe answered,"Casey Martsin." She said stressing the word Martsin and widening her eyes. The purple haired girl widened her eyes in response. She thrust a lace gloved handand grabbed CeCe hand.
"Uh..lets go sit with Katrina over there CeCe." Heather exclaimed leaving before CeCe could respond. CeCe followed before i could react. Out of the corner of my eye i saw Macey laughing hysterically with her immense crowd of friends at the largest table at the center of the cafe.
Whatever was going on , i knew Macey had to do with it.
