Demise of the Penny Coin
A penny for my thoughts you say?
A penny won’t buy the time of day.
Inflation has jacked up the price you see;
Lincoln just isn’t the man he used to be.
The copper coin once served a purpose;
Now the cent is just unwanted surplus.
A penny for my thoughts you say?
At least a nickel you’ll have to pay!
