The Majestic Unicorn

I was bored and started writing. No idea where this came from... but it's kind of funny in a pathetic way. My favorite part is the "leaping like deer" section. lol

Beneath the stony overhang

In spinning forest shadows came

The pale and quiet creatures of the trees

They shook their manes and cloven feet

And the calm world they boldly greet

With a sound like a trumpet's dying wheeze

They stumble underneath the forms

Of large and clumsy alicorns

And blindly crash through brush and vegetation

Without a fear they leap like deer

Except they don't know how to steer

And each moment collide with new frustration

So through the woods they trip and bray

And soon, confused and gone astray

The wild roses tangle them with thorns

A sad and more pathetic fate

No other creature can equate

Than the fabled and majestic unicorns'
