Scooter The Fish

Scooter the fish
lived in a tank.
For this he had
some kidnapper to thank.

All day long
he wished he could be
swimming with his buddies
in the deep blue sea.

But then one morning
as he woke up alone,
and the sun shone brightly
on his bubbling throne,

Who entered the room
but a giant he knew well
with a bag in his hand
filled with fishes, Oh Hell!

In his tank they were tossed
with no fanfare at all.
Three mere strangers it seemed
now a school they would call.

But I don't like school!
He didn't bother to think
Well what do you expect
from a lad that couldn't blink?

So he just hid away,
and he grunted and groaned,
while his unwanted guests
swam around his gold throne.

But slowly it dawned,
Hey, they're just like me!
Kidnapped and taken
from their home in the sea!

So he welcomed them all
and they swam and they schooled,
and created a home
in the water they ruled.

So they swam back and forth
and they dashed to and fro,
but who else was watching
but the cat, don't you know.

Licking his lips,
and kneading his paws,
just hoping to catch
a little fish with his claws.

But alas, that's the end
of this fishy tale.
It seems my creativity
is not up to scale!
