Madonna on the Rocks

A slight depature for me, some may think it cruel, but if 'artists' can impose themselves on our lives, then we have the right to comment on what they present to us, surely? With apologies to her fans, some of whom I know, and one of whom I was, a long, long (long)time ago.

Madonna on the Rocks

Madonna
Madmomma
Wants us all
To gaze upon her

But let’s be fair
Who wants to stare
At a fifty-year old woman
In her underwear?

You have to admit
It takes some nerve
Targeting an audience
Of middle-aged perves

Queen of Pop?
Please please stop
Running round the graveyard
Like a mutton chop

Re invent yourself
You’ve done it before
Come back as a rug
Laid on a dancehall floor

Come back as a lady
When your bod with age is hoar
Come back as a bedside chest
But cover your drawers

Please.
