A Walk on the Wild Side
Oh friendly Mr Crocodile
with such a charming tooth-filled smile
You swim around with grace and style
Why did you bite my leg?
Oh pretty little Lion cub
you let me give your chest a rub
Your parents came to take a look
Why did they chew my head?
Oh lovely Mrs Polar Bear
a lovely white fur coat you wear
You said ‘Come stroke me if you dare’
and now I’ve got no hands
Oh noble Vulture, old and wise
you watch me with your tender eyes
Your date of birth I memorised
yet still you eat my glands
Oh clean, majestic Killer Whale
We shared a meal and glass of ale
You said ‘come sit upon my tail’
then dragged me to the deep
Oh cruel Coyote, on your own
you never write, you never phone
Yet feel quite free to lick my bones
I think I’ll go to sleep…
