A poem that I held back till my turn came on the POETRY COMEDY site where Pride apparently has died due to the Fly By Nighter Flu!

Indie the cat was on the prowl,

saw a big old bird, an old barn owl.

Before she shinnied up that tree,

she spotted the neighbor dog, Stormy.

Hey there Storm, have you ever seen,

a bird so foreign, I'll catch that thing.

Can't say as I have, least not around here,

It looks really bad, it's showing no fear.

I'd just leave it alone, that's what I'd do,

cause that big old bird is bigger than you.

Why Stormy, you dog, it ain't never seen a cat,

as keen and as mean as when I attack.

Stormy's tail went down like a tenny,

when the big old bird swooped down on Indie.

Indie shinnied right up that tree,

scaled the height in fright, there she did flee.

Hey there Indie, I thought you fearless,

for he didn't catch you, no he just missed.

Can't say as I've seen such a big bat,

now jump on down and squash him flat.

I'd just leave it alone, that's what I'd do,

cause that old bird swooped down, he flew.

Why Indie, I've never seen such a fraidy cat,

as needy and as speedy as when it attacked.

Oh yeah Stormy, hiding in your house,

under your bone like a wee little mouse.

I saw the owl fly in there just before...

and no one's seen Stormy, no not anymore.
