One day down the road
Dirt will be my blanket
But today it is not
And I just want to thank it
For giving me perspective
And putting fire to my ass
Always around the next corner
But giving me a pass
I sometimes sense it's presence
Sometimes smell it's stench
It always keeps me honest
My sphincter tightly clenched
The Earth is our womb
From whence we came
And to soon return again
So thank you now, my six foot hole
I am your humble friend
