My Etch-a-sketch

A poem for my etch-a-sketch

Between a plastic frame,
is a most amusing game,
Is my jolly little etcha-a-sketch,
And thats a jolly little name.I sometimes draw cathedrals,
or a monarch on her throne,
or a woman in a forest,
or a simple, tiny stone.I always take such care,
to stay within the lines,
as I twist those little dials,
that weave tiny graphite vines. But as I'm sure you know,
life isn't quite polite,
and I often make mistakes,
to my pretty picture's plight. But that doesn't really matter,
I could hardly care less,
for with a shake of my jolly little etch-a-sketch,
The image briskly scatters. So I love my little etch-a-sketch,
just like my favorite song
because my mistakes and imperfections,
they never stay for long.
