Spilt Popcorn

I was hungry for snack

It came inside a plastic pack

something simple I desire

something easy to acquire

I wanted popcorn that was all

No I didnt slip or fall

I grabbed the bag soft and gently

It ripped open accidently

Popcorn falling everywhere

it was funny I did not care

I gave it one big mighty shake

Oops I guess that was my mistake

The bag was empty that was fast

Boy that popcorn was a blast

Time clean up this big mess

Boy this mess was a success

It took me hours upon days

Cleaning popcorn phase by phase

First I swept and than I vacuumed

Tons of popcorn it consumed

Soon enough my job was done

Boy oh boy now that was fun

I tossed the popcorn in a bag

That was fast now I must brag

My mom came home and she was hungry

What she chose was kinda funny

She chose the popcorn for a treat

She thought it would be good to eat

but to her surprise

something funny caught her eye

spiders bugs a smell of fish

things that made her rather squeamish

she looked at me I looked at her

the next few minutes were a blur

I found myself stuck in my room

because I vacuumed and swept with a broom
